Sozo Arts provides art holidays and creative retreats in Portugal and beyond. Samantha & Kit Jennings left the UK to start art holidays in Portugal in 2013.

We are passionate about the arts and we love to facilitate others to develop artistic skills, to apply their skills and to enjoy the process. They discovered the stunning Silver Coast (where Sozo Arts is based,) located by the sandy beaches of the Costa da Prata, in Portugal. We now continue to work and collaborate with other creative partners/artists in other destinations too such as photogra

It doesn’t by any means cover all the bases, but hope it makes you spare a thought for the creatures of the earth, air and oceans … because let’s face it, we all depend on each other for our mutual survival.

"When I make art it´s like a release, it´s like everything will be OK. It´s an experience that´s really special. I feel blessed to have it in my life" - artist Robi Walters. Incredibly moving, to hear Robi speak about the terrible tragic loss of his little brother in a fire when he was only 5 yrs old. And then to hear how art has been such a healing force and inspiration for him. Now he "takes things discarded and makes people want them again"..... that might not sound a new idea, but Robi is making and sharing wonderful art full of optimism. He lives with the pain of loss, but look how that he is transforming it into hope!! LOVE!! 😍

In the second part of our series, Lost Childhood, we have an insight into what shaped the artist Robi Walters - and the catastrophic event which he says will forever define his life and work.
