🌊 Discover Madeira by Catamaran 🚤

There’s something magical about seeing Madeira from the ocean. The island rises straight from the deep blue, and as you sail along the coast, the cliffs tell their own ancient story.

Towering up to 589m, the Cabo Girão cliffs are among the highest sea cliffs in Europe, carved over millions of years by wind, waves, and volcanic fire. Their sheer drop is breathtaking from the water — a reminder of the island’s wild origins.

And then there are the faias — the mountain slopes and ridges draped in green, where native laurel forests have stood since prehistoric times. From the catamaran, you glimpse a side of Madeira that feels untouched, timeless.

This bathing area is located in the Garajau Partial Nature Reserve, created in 1986 with the aim of protecting the dazzling biodiversity of these waters and thus preventing the desertification of the seabed. Garajau Beach can be accessed by cable car or half way by car and walk.
