Temos encontrado muitas medusas (medusa-do-Tejo, neste caso) nas últimas semanas.
E há uma razão para serem mais frequentes em determinadas alturas do ano.
A subida da temperatura da água pode favorecer o seu desenvolvimento e reprodução e juntamente com fatores como as correntes e a disponibilidade de alimento, contribuir para uma maior presença junto à costa.
Apesar de muitas das que temos encontrado não causarem urticária, f**a uma regra simples: se não conhece, não toque.
Observe. Há muito para descobrir debaixo de água.

We’ve been seeing a lot of jellyfish (Tagus jellyfish, in this case) over the past few weeks.
And there’s a reason why they become more common at certain times of the year.
Rising sea temperatures can favour their development and reproduction and, together with factors such as currents and food availability, contribute to a greater presence near the coast.
Although many of the ones we’ve been encountering don’t cause skin irritation, there’s one simple rule to remember: if you don’t know what it is, don’t touch it.
