We’re going back to Doma. 🌲

We had one of our best weeks there last year, so we’re doing it again Spring Break 2027, same forest, same magic.

Family Steam and Forest Reset in Mafra, Portugal. 30 minutes from Lisbon, 15 from Ericeira. Close enough for day trips, far enough to actually rest.

Seven nights. A Kids’ Zone in three glamping tents among the pines, built for ages 6 months to 10 years — outside all day, rain or shine. Daily yoga for the parents. Forest paths, outdoor pool, sauna. And the Steam Center, for when you need to just stop.

This was our 2026 season: the villas, the kids’ zone chaos, all of it. So many new friendships, muddy hands, and parents who finished a full sentence for once.

Sometimes it’s mud between fingers. Sometimes it’s rocks lined up just so. Sometimes it’s paint on paper, hands, and absolutely everything else.

In our kids’ zone, we don’t tell kids what to make —we just get out of the way. Real materials, a lot of freedom, permission to get messy, and they’ll show you exactly what’s on their mind.

This is a season’s worth of it, as we wind down 2026.

This is a real look inside our kids’ zone happening right now, on our Portugal getaway 🇵🇹

When we say nature-forward, we mean it: forest walks, sensory play with real materials, learning outdoors instead of screens, and kids coming back muddy, happy, and properly worn out.

This group turned out to be mums traveling solo with their kids. Just a group of women doing this together while their kids run wild in the best possible way.

What if everyone got the holiday they needed?

While kids spend their day exploring nature, creating, making friends, and coming back with muddy shoes and big stories to tell, parents get something that’s often in short supply: time.

Time to rest.
Time to connect.
Time to read a book, swim, hike, or simply enjoy a coffee while it’s still warm.

And at the end of the day, everyone comes back together with stories of their own.

That’s the kind of family holiday we believe in.
