- With the summer rush ending and the festivities beginning, there hasn't been much time to keep our loyal followers updated and for that I'm sorry! In order to make it up to you, there will be some new posts arriving soon so you can catch up with us!

This photo starts a 3 day adventure with the Artega's, and its yet another tour that I fight to find words to describe. It was undoubtedly the sweetest family I've met and I'm looking forward to seeing them again! From a wedding to tours to celebrating Thanksgiving, we did it all!

Our first food tour has a mandatory spot at the old mill, where all kinds of gastronomy from tradition to Mexican and vegan can be tasted! We had a lucky break with the weather wich made it even more special!

Next stop is Cascais for an ice cream while cruising the most scenic beaches this country has to offer!

The most famous well in the world, in front of your eyes! This stunning construction, as some of you may know, is part of many scenic sets occurring within the infamous Quinta da Regaleira!

Honestly, to properly explain this well and the reason why it's here (not to pickup water), it would take me a day or more of talking, and if you've ever done a tour with me, you know it!

This well is in a way, a spiritual portal onto a brighter future, leveraged through fraternity, brotherhood, union and much more. For some of you all I said is enough...wink wink! 😉

It's the 1st of 3 steps, the first being the well, the 2nd being the underground galeries, and the 3rd one is where you will find the exit to the garden of Eden, and finally the 💡!

This is a topic that goes unseen by the masses of tourists that visit it daily, meaning that being there won't symbolize you've seen it correctly. A place filled with detail, history, stories, legends, mythology, alchemy, freemasonry, rosicrucianism

🍀 Another special one for the books! Recently I had the Duffy family reach me for a Tour with a bit of culture, a but of forest, history and with that being my main passion, there was no way I could turn them away!

Our plan included a top to bottom tour of Sintra and we went from the highest point in the mountain, where you find the Palace of Pena, all the way to the depths of our mountain, down the iniciatic well and it's mystical caves! 🏰

All that walking and talking got us hungry so we left and had a quick stop at a Local Restaurant and finished Sintra's chapter with a wine tour provided by yours truly and the oldest co-op in the country! 🍷

With a full tummy we left Sintra to see Cabo da Roca and the stunning cliff views! Time flew, sign of good times so when we noticed we were cruising down Guincho beach and the sun was already setting. Without knowing we had the perfect ending to a perfect day, with a bus cruise through the one of Portugals most scenic roads.

They didn't deserve anything less and I'm happy everything went perfect, I would love to welcome you again Mr. Martin & the remaining Duffy family members :)🍀

Being a lover of traditions, specially Portuguese ones, there was no way I was going to let this one slide without sharing!

The tradition I will write about is called Pao por Deus, or Bread for God, and it consisted on sharing food with the poorer people, as a way to bless other on what is known as All Saints Day. This tradition gained more strength after the Infamous earthquake in Nov 1st 1755 because there was alot of destruction and the poor neded even more help. ✝️

The tradition carries on to this day, but now it's not with the poor but with children age up to 10 or as long as you're not too big! 🤣

Before the 1900's, the bag used to be filled with chestnuts, figs, raisins and much more, but today that has been replaced by sweets of all flavors and colors making kids very very happy! It's also mandatory for the previous generations to hand knit a bag to haul all the candy :) 🍬

For the parents, as you see on the video, it's mandatory to drink a homemade cherry liquor provided by the homeowner, and it's rude to refuse!

This video was filmed by me, in my hometown, and it's definitely a throwback to amazing times.

Hopefully the tradition carries on.

When there is no booking, things like these happen, where outta nowhere you randomly meet the best people in the world and go for the trip of a lifetime!! Right from the get go, polite, kind, happy, they had it all! A very sweet memory that I will cherish for a long time! The world would be peeeerfect if everybody was like you 4! A tight hug and I wish you the best of the best ✨️❤️🇵🇹🇺🇸❤️

Today I was approached by a super friendly family from the Philippines who wanted a tour around Sintra to wich I said yes. Little did I know something so simple would become something so special ✨️❤️🇵🇹🇵🇭❤️✨️

Before we started we had a coffee and I decided to do a little research about what our countries had in common and turns out we have been friends since 1521! The first contact by Europeans in the Philippines was done in yes, 1521, but the one and only, THE PORTUGUESE!🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹 Turns out we share words, sayings, and much much more!

After "breaking the ice" we cranked Ramona up and set sail!
Since time was short, we weren't able to see all of Sintra, so we toured around the main highlights of the region to see the Charted and the Uncharted!

We drove Ramona up for some sightseeing and story-telling, and since that's so tiring ( I know right?) on the way down we took a break to eat! Couldn't call it a Portuguese tour without a good meal! 😂

Belly full, we were ready to see some more and that we did! We dove deep inside Quinta da Regaleira, and as you see on the 2nd photo, years after touring the same place, it's still amazes me!

We ended right at the last second at the trainstation, but it still allowed for a photo to remember this beautiful day!

People like you are welcome forever, everywhere. It was a pleasure to show you my field of dreams! Return always ✨️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇹❤️✨️

🍀Yesterday's Jellybeans🍀

This was the best group/family I had the pleasure of touring in a long time, and it made have the best day I had in a long time too! A day filled with laughter, storytelling, beach cruising, wine/liqueur tasting etc etc, and with the weather cooperating, it made it even better!

This is a day to remember, thank you so much Ohio, you were so generous and just unique!

You took a piece of me!❤️🇵🇹🇺🇸❤️
