As of April 10, 2025 citizen of the United States, Canada and Australia once again need a visa to enter Brazil.
Citizens of these countries (only these countries) can apply for the Brazilian visa online at https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/
The cost for a visa valid for 10 years is $80.90
The average processing time for an eVisa application is typically 5 working days after everything is submitted correctly, but it is best to allow time as they sometimes are picky about the photos and/or may request additional information (bank statement, etc); they typically give the applicant 15 days to send any additional information.

In summary, this is what each traveler will need:
- Visa application form (on website and to be completed online)
- Color scan of the bio page of your passport (Note: without any glare or fingers on it. Ensure that the MRZ code at the bottom is fully visible. A scan is best.)
- Passport must be signed, valid up to the end of Brazil trip, and have 2 pages free for visa.
- Passport-style photo. You can take a photo yourself, but make sure to follow the guidelines. Color photo with a white background, no shadows, sized 3.5 x 4.5 cm (413 x 531 pixels). Ensure that your nose, mouth, eyes and both ears are clearly visible. Shoulders in the frame. Do not wear glasses or head covering. Do not smile or show teeth. No shadows visible in the picture.
