Here is a summery of the news from the remote forest of Transylvania. In 10 minutes all these birds were identified in the surrounding trees by a sound app.
Suddenly appearing in flocks of many t**s. Fun to see them hopping from tree to tree picking off the evening insects.

This region of Transylvania is steeped in history from the Roman, Saxon, Hungarian and Romanian occupations.

Guiness come to Transylvania. Well it was here years ago in bottles costing £10 a pint. But now this on sale in a supermarket at 30% reduced so about £1.25 ( around £2 normal price)a can. And yes it tastes just the same as in the UK. Full of bvits and stout callories. Good for men.

More birds of Transylvania.

Dozens of these European bee eater birds on the way up the road and it says a lot about these mountains, because there are so many insects to eat necessary to sustain them every day.

I came across this first time last year by chance. And again yesterday. It is the calling of villagers to the harvest festival. The guys ride around on horses in traditional gear and the girls get to sit in the cart.

Not short of feathered friends here. Swallows, crows, Owls, Eagles and Shrikes line up every morning to view the feeding opportunities. Small mammalia and insects a plenty.
