The next level: Adventure weekend in the Transylvanian wilderness
I haven't felt bored in the last 15 years, when building up my little world here in Cund, Transylvania. I renovated old farm houses, I organised tailor made trips, I bought and re-cultivated an old orchard, I made a garden and greenhouse to become as much self-sufficient as possible, I rescued donkeys and I grew the donkey family to 12 animals now. The hay I make myself, as well as the fences, the cleaning and all other things connected with this donkey sanctuary.
But, you know how it is: when you mastered a challenge, you look for the next one. And what I'm really interested in, is to simplify life even more and live out in - and with - nature. I've good luck, because a while ago I bought this huge valley, which is completely secluded to the civilized world. There you may watch deer, foxes, birds of prey, wild boars and sometimes also bears. In "human" terms it's a quite dangerous place, but in my opinion, it's "safe heaven" - for an unbelievable biodiversity of plants, small and bigger wild animals.
From this year on, I will organise wilderness experience weekends - for adults but also for children in this protected space. You'll learn how to survive in the wilderness, how to protect yourself from cold, rain, starving and dying of thirst. We'll build a safe shelter, we will find ways to protect ourselves from wild animals, we'll learn how to make a fire without a lighter, how to cook on open fire and how to make water drinkable.
I can't do these weekends too often, because my other tasks are keeping me busy, but if you are interested, please send me a private message. The adventure camp lasts four days, I can adapt it to special interests - like family members, German or English speakers, different level of outdoor experience. The minimum group size is four.
By the way: we will get help by one (ore more) of my donkeys, which carry the luggage, help with doing the work in the forest.
