Hello, current and future darling friends,
Oh, what a couple years it’s been. We know. We see you over there, vaxxing, masking, adapting, working hard to keep your head above water. We love you, and we’re proud of you, and has anyone told you you deserve a break? You do, you know. Even if your head hasn’t stayed entirely above water. Even if you’ve dropped balls, and missed deadlines, and completely forgot to do things that you really didn’t consider optional. Even if you haven’t been your best self— in fact, let us tell you, we talk to a lot of people, and guess what? The vast majority of people we know feel like they’re behind, like they’re underwater, like they’re not doing enough, and at the very same time, like they’re doing too much. Many of us feel like we’re collapsing under the weight of our collective responsibility. So… we’re taking a break, and we’re inviting you to come along. Join us for a much needed retreat this January 29th- February 5th in Troncones, Mexico. We’ll be teaching some yoga, and organizing some awesome (and optional) activities, but we’re gonna rest and chill and hang out with you. We’re gonna pull tarot cards by the pool. We’re gonna have a margarita on the patio. We’re gonna float in the waves and nap on the beach and do gentle yoga and get massages, and it’s all gonna be outside, in the sun, right on the ocean.
So listen: we love yoga. We love going on retreats with people who love what we love. We also love sleeping in and missing morning class, or skipping evening class to watch the sunset with a piña colada or a smoothie in hand. We love being a welcoming and inclusive space for your bestie or partner who doesn’t give a s**t about yoga. Maybe they’ll give it a shot; maybe they won’t. We won’t like them any less, either way! We think of ourselves as vacation curators. We have arranged a trip with a wide variety of elements: yoga classes, massage treatments, karma activities, kayak or surf adventures, cave explorations, delicious local food, really cool potential friends… and we have made all these things available to you. But just like in a museum, you don’t have to go into every room.
We know, it’s a weird and uncertain time, and travel can be scary. We are requiring that all of our guests be vaccinated, and we strongly encourage you to be boosted. We recommend wearing N95 masks in the airport and on the plane. There are testing sites within walking distance in town, and the resort has arranged to have testing available on site, for a fee.
Let us know if we can save you a spot. You deserve a break. ❤️
