The organisation brings together representatives of the government and business: heads of federal and regional authorities , large investors, business representatives (tourism, hospitality and food services), and other interested individuals in the development of domestic and inbound tourism in the Russian Federation. The founders of the NTU are an autonomous non-profit organisation, «Agency of de

velopment of domestic tourism» and the Fund of cultural and educational programmes «Open seas». The organization was founded with the sup- port of the Federal Agency for Tourism.
