Only such terrific people like Yuriy Gagarin can be the first and do improbable like entering the space without any prove of success!

Cheerful, always smiling! Just look at the condition of his landing capsule in the 2nd pic! His return to Earth was almost foiled. Engines designed to slow his trajectory and pull him out of orbit failed to disconnect properly as he began to re-enter the atmosphere. With added weight (almost 12 G) and untested aerodynamics, this could have led to the capsule spiraling out of control and breaking up. Mercifully though, the turbulence caused by re-entry shook the spacecraft and dislodged the rear equipment section. Gagarin landed, alive and an icon of the era

Time to say Goodbye to joyful Maslenitsa week -or "Crepe Week"(the week before the onset of Great Lent.

Almost every third park of St.Petersburg had fests with a big straw Lady Maslenitsa burnt into a bonfire to make farewell to Winter and greet the beginning of Spring season

On the last Sunday (named Sunday of Forgiveness) we ask to forgive us for any caused offense.

So, Mr Covid, we ask to forgive us, but we don't want You any more!!! And we wang to return our wonderful guests to St.Petersburg
