RUSSIAN NAVY DAY IN VLADIVOSTOK.

One of the most significant event for Vladivostok is the Navy Day.

The original version of the Russian Navy was founded by Peter the Great. The reason for the celebration was the victory of the Russian rowing fleet on July 27 (August 7, new style) in 1714 in the battle of Gangut during the Northern War, under the command of Peter the First.

The red-letter day is celebrated every year on the last Sunday of July. In honor of the memory of more than three centuries of the history of the fleet, nobility and courage of the sailors.
In contrast to Parades on May 9, which are held in every city and the smallest village. A beautiful demonstration of military (surface, underwater, aircraft) equipment, performances of the ensembles and military-sports competitions, colourful fireworks and bright installations - not remain the citizens and guests of Sevastopol, Saint-Petersburg, Severomorsk, Astrakhan and Vladivostok indifferent - the cities, where are based 4 fleets and Caspian fleet.

And all this time the St Andrew’s flag flies in the peaceful sky of Russia as a reminder for the enemies of what Russian soldiers are capable of.

VLADIVOSTOK.
The Zolotoy Bridge (Golden Bridge).

The bridge was officially opened on August 11, 2012. It is considered the world's 5th biggest cable-stayed bridge. Located in the centre of Vladivostok, it connects the city with its remote districts to the interstate Vladivostok-Khabarovsk.
Our the most significant sightseeing is impressive by its size and slightly resembles the Gold Gates Bridge in San-Francisco.
The total length is about 1400 meters, the width - 30 meters, and the most important feature of it is large V-shaped pylons, the height of a 70-story building (226 meters).
In the first three years after the opening of the bridge it was allowed for pedestrians to walk here. And this stroll from one side to the other took 30 minutes. But now the movement of pedestrians is forbidden for security purposes.
Now in all seasons the tourists can ride here at a high speed and enjoy the bridge and the Golden Horn to the fullest at all times of the day.
We’d love to take you on this breathtaking trip. We assure you, it will be unforgettable!

VLADIVOSTOK.
The Tokarevsky Lighthouse.

One of the oldest operating navigational lighthouses in the Russian Far East.
In 1876 a guiding sign was set on the man-made rocky sea spit. And in 1910 the round white tower (the height is 12 m) was erected here. Till today it is kept its original form, it continues to be on watch and to spread the light for the passing ships to 12 miles.

The sea spit itself, which is used for walking to the lighthouse straight over the waves, is considered to be a symbolic beginning of the Pacific ocean.

For our guests, which have come through the continent from West to East, It's very important to immerse themselves in the water of the biggest ocean in the world. And many of them are not deterred by the low temperature of water and air.)))

The natives, besides summer bathing in the clearest water, are fond of walking in this place, enjoying the views of the bridge and the city, breathing sea air.
In winter, then the sea from one of the side of the sea spit is frozen, young people skate, mommies walk with their children on the ice surface. And men fish for the local delicious smelt.
In early spring, when the ice starts to break, no one remains indifferent to the games of spotted seals (known as larghas). At this time they come closer to the sea spit. For other people to see and be seen)
Exciting and rich life on our lighthouse is remarkable for literally every guest!

VLADIVOSTOK, “Russky Bridge”.

One of the most remarkable legacy of 2012 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. It has expanded the city boundaries having attached the territory of Russky island to it. And it has added for the citizens and our guests many vacation spots and places for studying the military history of Vladivostok.
On Russky island you can take a walk on the beach which belongs to Far Eastern University. To sunbathe, to go diving, to practice snorkeling and very popular among the natives - SUP-surfing. To make a sea trip on a yacht, to taste the freshest seafood. To attend one of the most modern aquarium and old defensive fortifications in the far corners of island. And all of that is about 30 minutes away from the city center.
That’s what “Russky Bridge” is for us!
A few facts about our favourite:
Russky Bridge is the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world, that was built in Vladivostok across the Eastern Bosphorus channel.
The second higher bridge in the world. The height is 324 m.
The total weight of the main steel stiffening girder - 23 000 tons;
The total length of the bridge - 1885,53 m.;
The width of the bridge - 29,5 m;
The under-bridge clearance mark - 70 m.
The bridge shrouds are coloured in Russian tricolour.
