🦛 Did You Know? Hippos Are River Giants!
In Rwanda’s Akagera National Park, you’ll find one of Africa’s most powerful animals — the hippopotamus!

Hippos are not lazy! 🐾 During the day, they relax in rivers to keep cool. But at night, they walk for miles on land to find grass to eat – they can eat up to 40kg a night! 🌿

Even though they look slow and chubby, hippos can run faster than a human for a short distance! 🏃‍♂️💨And yes… they can open their mouths 150 degrees wide – that’s big enough to fit a small car inside! 😲

Hippos live in groups called pods, and they are very protective of each other. Want to see them up close? Join us on a wildlife safari in Rwanda and hear their loud “honk” echo across the water. It's an experience you will never forget!
