Experience the best of Rwanda in just four incredible days! From the wildlife-rich plains of Akagera National Park to a relaxing Lake Ihema boat cruise, an exciting game drive and the ultimate encounter with the magnificent mountain gorillas of Volcanoes National Park. 🌿🐘🦍

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park & Lake Ihema Boat Cruise
Meet your driver-guide at your agreed location in Kigali and transfer to Akagera National Park. You arrive in time for a late-afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you can see hippos, crocodiles and numerous bird species around the lake and surrounding swamps. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.

Day 2: Early-Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Start early with a game drive, looking for wildlife grazing and predators hunting. After the game drive, meet your driver-guide and continue to Volcanoes National Park, with lunch en route. Arrive in the afternoon and check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking 🦍
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled water. A briefing by the park ranger guides takes place at 7:00 AM, after which you begin your search for the mountain gorillas. The trek can take approximately 2–8 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. After the experience, return to the lodge to refresh and relax.

Day 4: Transfer Back to Kigali
Enjoy breakfast at leisure before meeting your guide for the journey back to Kigali. Lunch is provided en route, followed by drop-off at Kigali Airport or your hotel.

When gorillas decide where they’re going, the best thing you can do is stay still, remain calm, and let them choose their path. 🦍🌿

This massive silverback did exactly that. By listening to our amazing guides and giving him the space he needed, we watched in awe as he calmly walked right past us, giving us a sighting we’ll never forget!

A powerful reminder that gorilla trekking is all about respect, patience, and allowing these incredible animals to remain wild.
