✨AZTAN Leaders Participate in Mining Indaba 2025, Championing Inclusivity and Strategic Collaboration in Africa’s Mining Industry
AZTAN proudly announces that Delegate Tayeb Hasaabo and Co-founding Partner Nawal Elsadik attended the prestigious Mining Indaba 2025 conference, held from 3rd to 6th February 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa.
This year’s conference was an inspiring and impactful experience, highlighting the importance of indigenous peoples and local communities. Their active participation in key sessions on sustainable and equitable mining underscored a growing commitment to inclusivity and shared prosperity within the industry.
Mining Indaba 2025 reinforced its dedication to promoting sustainability, inclusivity, and strategic collaboration—key pillars for strengthening Africa’s mining sector. Thought-provoking discussions focused on Africa’s critical geopolitical choices in the face of rising global mineral demand. Central to these discussions was the continent’s strategic dilemma: engaging with the U.S. under protectionist policies or aligning with the China-led BRICS group.
In addition to participating in the conference, AZTAN held productive meetings with partners from the esteemed law firms Webber Wentzel and ENSafrica. These discussions focused on strengthening mutual relationships and exchanging updates on the evolving legal landscape in Sudan, South Sudan, and other jurisdictions across Africa and the Middle East, where AZTAN maintains a presence.

كدأبِهِ منذ سنواتٍ خلت، شارك مكتب أزتان، فى المؤتمر السنوى لإتحاد المحامين الدولى IBA والذى إنعقد هذا العام بمكسيكو سيتى بالمكسيك.. مثل ازتان هذه العام الاستاذ محمد ازهرى الطريفى والذى شارك فى اغلب فعاليات وجلسات المؤتمر..كما شارك ايضا فى فعاليات منتدى المحامين العرب ومنتدى المحامين الافارقة.. الجدير بالذكر أن هذ المؤتمر يقام سنويا فى إحدى الدول الكبرى ويؤمه أكثر من ستة الاف محامية ومحامى من مختلف الدول و التخصصات مما يجعل منه تظاهرة فريدة ومهمة لكل ممارسى مهنة القانون. وتأتى مشاركة الاستاذ محمد ازهرى ممثلا لأزتان فى هذا المحفل القانونى الهام فى إطار إهتمام أزتان بتدريب المحامين الشباب وفتح الفرص امامهم لتطوير أنفسهم مما ينعكس ايجابا على مجموعة ازتان بصفة خاصة وعلى المهنة بصفة عامة..

على هامش مؤتمر Eeast Africa Internatio Arbitrational Conference المنعقد بأديس أبابا فى الفترة من ١٩-٢١/سبتمر، عقدنا بفندق شيراتون اديس امسية السبت ٢١ سبتمبر منتدى شركاء ازتان الاول والذى شرفه بالحضور شركاءنا من تركيا، كينيا، لندن، اديس ابابا، جوبا، بورتسودان، دبى والمملكة العربية السعودية.. أدار المنتدى الاستاذ مصطفى الطيب وقد كان منتدىً ناجحا حيث تبادلنا الاراء والافكار حول تطوير هذه الشراكات وكيفية الاستفادة منها فى تبادل المعرفة و ترقية المهنة ورفع قدرات المحامين المنتسبين لكل المكاتب المذكورة..
On the sidelines of the East Africa International Arbitration Conference held in Addis Ababa from September 19th to 21st, we hosted the first Aztan Partners Forum on the evening of Saturday, September 21st, at the Sheraton Addis Hotel. The forum was graced by the presence of our partners from Turkey, Kenya, London, Addis Ababa, Juba, Port Sudan, Dubai, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The forum was moderated by Mustafa Eltayeb,It was a successful forum where we exchanged views and ideas on developing these partnerships, leveraging them for knowledge exchange, and advancing the profession while enhancing the capacities of lawyers affiliated with all the mentioned offices.

للمرة الثامنة على التوالى شاركنا فى مؤتمر East Africa International Arbitration والذى انعقد هذا العام بأديس ابابا.. وقد جاءت المشاركة هذا العام، لأول مرة، بوفد كبير شمل كل الشركاء الاساسيين.. شاركنا فى كل جلسات المؤتمر والتى كانت مفيدة ومثمرة.
