Kenana Engineering and Technical Services Ltd. (KETS) an internationally integrated, leading consultancy company in the agro-industrial sector in Sudan.

In 1975 Kenana Sugar Company (KSC) was launched as a joint venture between the Government of Sudan, State of Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, inter-governmental bodies and the private sector. Since its inception KSC is considered as one of the largest integrated diversified sugar company in the world with an average annual production of 500,000 tons of refined sugar together with other related pro

ducts including co-generation, ethanol, animal feed, meat, poultry and agriculture products. In 1986 Kenana Engineering and Technical Services, Ltd, (KETS) was founded to utilize KSC’s expertise by meeting the increasing demand for an affordable consulting and engineering services to the agro-industrial sector in Sudan and abroad. Looking into the regional arena for opportunities in the agri-business sector KETS with its headquarter in Khartoum, Sudan, was able to penetrate the local and international markets reporting a high growth rate and leaving its footprints in various countries in the continent. KETS has built a strong and wide client base relationships through its business operations in these countries, including the Governments of Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Tunisia, as well as the Private Sector in the MENA region and Europe. With more than 16 years of hands on experience in Engineering, Project Management, Consultancy, Organizational Planning, Capacity Building and Utilities services, KETS today ranks as the number one in the region.

We are proud to announce the successful progress of the consultancy services for the Factory Rehabilitation Project at Metahara Sugar Factory in Ethiopia, awarded to KETS – Kenana Engineering & Technical Services.

Located in the Oromia Region, approximately 200 km from Addis Ababa, Metahara Sugar Factory is one of Ethiopia’s historic industrial landmarks. Constructed by the Dutch company H.V.A., the factory began sugar production in 1970 and was established as a joint venture between the Ethiopian Government and the constructing company, becoming the third sugar factory in the country.

Today, KETS is honored to contribute its engineering and consultancy expertise toward the rehabilitation and modernization of this important facility. The project is progressing steadily and reflects our continued commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the region.
