As we've witnessed over the past years, isolated acts of terrorism don't solely reflect the safety of a destination for travelers.

Many countries, like Sri Lanka, rely heavily on tourism to support their communities — so, when tourism slows, the local people and their businesses continue to suffer. Sri Lanka is an amazing destination to visit, complete with amazing wildlife, friendly hospitality, and diverse landscapes (beaches, mountains, and jungle!). I can't wait to return to Sri Lanka and hope that others continue to plan adventures there and support these beautiful people!
