The first test drive! It's been more than 30 years, probably more than 40 years since this AMI6 Break had a working engine! A big moment!

I asked my friend .viklund if he could take a look at this 2000 XM 2.1TD Break I have had standing around for far too long. I have a buyer for it if it starts, a young guy in his early twenties who wants to restore an XM! There's hope! 😄 Anyway, with Olas magic touch it started right away! Huge thanks!

There were some torrential rains here last night so today I just unloaded the 1100 TI and did a quick wipedown of the amazingly well preserved interior of the car! If I can get the exterior to match it will be a really nice one!

CX25 TRD Turbo 2 -88 425 000 kms, not started for many years. Started and run like this almost immediately!

The lower suspension arms are almost stuck, I must take all of it apart to assess the situation. I hope they can be used...

The lower suspension arms are almost stuck, I must take all of it apart to assess the situation. I hope they can be used. The steering relay bearings feel like they are out of grease but still roll, must be taken apart and regreased. Then there are the front wheel pivots and the wheel bearings. I might have to regrease them too. Will think about it.

The front parts were up next, removing the drive shafts from the front pivots and removing the pivots from the suspension arms followed by removing the tie rods from the pivots and the steering relays. The drive shaft tripods were a pain in the a** to retract!
1967 ID19 resto project
Drive shafts, joints, tie-rod ends and ball pins seem within tolerances, all seals and gaiters need to be renewed though.
