Beyond the yacht, a very private Sweden awaits.

Hosting a family of five travelling through Sweden aboard their 45-metre private superyacht.

As they journeyed from Gothenburg and continued along Sweden’s coastline, Elite Tours Sweden met them ashore, creating and personally hosting seven days of private experiences.

We stepped behind the scenes to meet local artists, cider makers and apple orchard owners. We spent time with fishermen, discovered Swedish history and museums, visited castles and met the people who care for them, and enjoyed exceptional dining along the way.

There were no standard tours and no fixed formula.

Each day was shaped around our guests — their interests, their pace and how they felt in the moment. Private transport, personal introductions, local knowledge and the freedom to linger somewhere special or change direction entirely.

Experiencing what we offer our guests.

This weekend, I’m staying in one of the private villas we can arrange near Marstrand, a chance to experience the property personally before welcoming future guests.

A classic Scandinavian three-bedroom villa with its own private lounge, kitchen and balcony, overlooking the water and islands surrounding Marstrand.

For us, luxury travel is not simply about recommending a beautiful place to stay. It’s about knowing the property, understanding the feeling of being there, and making sure it fits the experience we want to create for our guests.

Where the noise disappears and healing begins. Bohuslän

A small boat carried us to a tiny island in the Bohuslän archipelago, with no one else in sight.

Stopping the boat in tight rock crevices, surrounded by sculpted granite, coastal flora and clear, salty water, we slowed down and watched the sailing boats pass in the distance.

No schedule. No crowds. Just the sea, the rocks and space to breathe.

Every journey we create begins with one question…

“What would make your perfect day in Sweden?”

For our recent guests, the answer was easy.

Adventure. Speed. Freedom.

They wanted to experience as much of Sweden’s spectacular west coast as possible in just one day.

Their experience began with a private Volvo transfer from their hotel before boarding a private high-performance boat, setting course through the Gothenburg and Bohuslän archipelago.

Over the next eight hours, we explored a collection of beautiful islands including Marstrand, Åstol, Dyrön and hidden coastal communities, each offering its own character, history and charm.

Rather than simply passing by, we stepped ashore to experience authentic Swedish island life, meeting local hosts, enjoying fresh west coast cuisine and discovering places that many visitors never find.

The beauty of bespoke travel is that no two journeys are ever the same.

Some guests seek peaceful wellness experiences and quiet moments in nature.

Some of Sweden’s greatest experiences aren’t found in luxury hotels, they’re found in places like this.

Hidden away on the tiny island of Åstol, our guests stepped inside one of Sweden’s oldest traditional smokehouses, where time honoured methods are still used today.

Here, Jeanette welcomed us behind the scenes, sharing not only her family’s story but also the centuries-old craft of preparing and smoking fish by hand.

Watching fresh mackerel being filleted, carefully seasoned and prepared for the smoke oven was a fascinating glimpse into a tradition that has shaped life on Sweden’s west coast for generations.

It wasn’t a demonstration created for tourists.

It was simply another day in the life of a local smokehouse, and our guests were invited to be part of it.

Through long-standing relationships with local families, artisans and business owners, we open doors to experiences that are genuine, personal and deeply connected to Swedish culture.

Today Elite Tours Sweden had the pleasure of hosting Formula Automotive Norway for an exclusive afternoon on Sweden’s beautiful west coast.

From a private waterfront venue to fresh oysters, Kalix Löjrom, chilled Crémant, traditional Swedish räkmackor and a seasonal dessert, every detail was designed to showcase authentic Scandinavian hospitality.

The afternoon was brought to life with live music, exceptional cuisine and unforgettable coastal views, proving that the most memorable experiences are created through the perfect combination of people, place and thoughtful planning.

A personal highlight? Being invited to sit behind the wheel and start the stunning new Ferrari Amalfi.
