Some experiences can’t be Googled!

They’re found down winding coastal roads, on weathered fishing boats, and through the stories only locals know.

This week, our guests stepped into the heart of Sweden’s west coast lifestyle, far from the tourist trail and deep into authentic Bohuslän magic 🇸🇪

We spent the day aboard a rustic fishing boat, cruising through the breathtaking archipelago while learning about the traditions of Swedish mussel harvesting. Salt in the air, endless sea views, and local stories that brought the coastline to life.

As we drifted between tiny islands and hidden coves, guests sipped gin from a small local distillery (the smallest in Sweden) crafted right here, on site.

Then came the feast.

Fresh mussels cooked over the grill on shore as we “taste tested”, served inside a charming old clock tower overlooking the ocean. Rustic wooden tables, laughter, and pots overflowing with fresh mussels and homemade condiments.

And just when everyone thought it couldn’t get any better… warm homemade apple pie (apples from their garden) with vanilla sauce arrived at the table.

The reactions said it all.
Mind blown. Relaxed. Connected. Serene.

This wasn’t just a tour.
It was a feeling. A taste of the real Sweden. The kind of experience only locals know how to find.

Somewhere between the trees and the lake, time slowed down.

No crowds. No noise. Just the quiet luxury of being deeply present. ✨

A hidden birthday table in the heart of the Swedish forest, Champagne chilled, fresh bread still warm from a traditional Swedish baker, smoke rising from the grill prepared by our private chef, and joy drifting softly through the trees.

We wandered by the lake, toasted to twenty beautiful years, and ended the afternoon the Swedish way: with princess cake , French Champagne, and the kind of memories that stay with you long after the candles are gone. 🇸🇪🥂

Some celebrations aren’t meant to be seen by everyone.
Only felt. 🌿

Yesterday we were guests at Gothenburg’s first Michelin star chef bistro in central Gothenburg - . Just a short walk from any central hotel, station or attraction.

We enjoyed seasonal white asparagus with soft poached halibut with three wine varieties to match from Portugal 🇵🇹 Soon after we enjoyed duck with potato puree and lentils matched with four reds.

For dessert we enjoyed fine Swedish cheese and port wine. I have found my new favourite cheese - Wrångebäck.

This is certainly a fine Swedish cuisine restaurant with stunning quality and brilliant service.
