The secret? Finding the right match.
Every host is different.
Think about what you want from your WWOOF experience, and look for a host who matches that.

Take your time. Read the host profiles as well as the reviews. Ask questions. Find a place where the learning opportunities, lifestyle and people feel right for you.
That’s when WWOOFing can become something really special.

More from shannon 🩝: “Our trip was full of swimming in the lakes, picking strawberries, watching snails crawl by and so on. We loved every minute of it and hope others get to experience the same.”

We recently checked in with host Michael, and his message reminded us why we love WWOOF so much:”I have to say that I am...

We recently checked in with host Michael, and his message reminded us why we love WWOOF so much:
”I have to say that I am so happy with how the WWOOFing experience has gone for us. It has been so successful in every way. All of our WWOOFers have been so kind, hard-working and a real pleasure to be around... We recently hosted three WWOOFers at the same time for the first time, and it was so much fun to see them interact and do things on their own.” 💚

Michael and Amanda have created a truly unique place where vineyards, music, vegetables, wildflowers, bees and even mushroom cultivation come together. No two days are the same: you might be pruning vines, harvesting honey, planting, painting, or tackling a bit of carpentry, all while music plays for the vines. đŸŽ¶

As former chefs, food is a big part of the experience too. Expect home-cooked meals made with fresh ingredients from the vineyard, your own private room, and plenty of time to explore the forests, lakes and hiking trails nearby (or borrow one of their e-bikes for an adventure!). đŸšČ

Could you see yourself spending a season here? 🍇

🚹 NEW HOST ALERT 🚹
Meet Anita!
Anita breeds Black Forest draft horses and works therapeutically with horses and cows. She’s also building up a large vegetable garden and two greenhouses, learning by doing every step of the way - and you’ll have the opportunity to learn alongside her.

After 6 years of van life, Anita and her son put down roots in the Swedish countryside and have BIG plans for the future of their farm and meeting place. 🇾đŸ‡Ș✹

To help you feel at home from day one, here’s the welcoming committee waiting for you:
🐮 Black Forest draft horses‹🐼 Dexter cows‹🐑 Valais Blacknose sheepâ€šđŸ¶ Four dogsâ€šđŸ± Three Maine C**n cats‹🐔 Chickens and quails
Here, you can learn about caring for ALL the animals while experiencing daily life on a small farm surrounded by forests and nature.

Interested in small-scale dairy production? That adventure begins in January, when a brand-new dairy project gets underway! đŸ§€đŸ„›

If this has sparked your curiosity, head over to Anita’s profile in the app to learn more.

This week, WWOOFers staying at Buters Eko got a behind-the-scenes tour of Salthamn, also a WWOOF host on the island of Gotland.
We learned how Salthamn transformed heavy clay soil into healthy, productive growing beds, explored the WWOOFer accommodation, visited the restaurant, the shop and even discovered a giant disco ball đŸȘ©
One of the best things about WWOOFing is realizing that no two farms are the same. Every host has its own landscape, projects, knowledge, accommodation, and community. That’s what makes every WWOOF experience unique.

A huge thank you to Salthamn for welcoming us, to Simon for sharing your knowledge, and giving even more WWOOFers a glimpse into another way of farming and hosting
and running a thriving business. 💚

🇬🇧 One statistic we’re particularly proud of: 95% of reviews between WWOOFers and hosts are positive. In a world that often feels divided, it’s encouraging to see how much learning, connection, and mutual understanding can happen when people come together.

P.S. We follow up on every negative review without exception, because everyone’s experience matters.
