Autumn in Northern Norway through Karolina’s eyes.

There’s something truly special about the Nordics in early October, and our very own Karolina has just returned from a week exploring Northern Norway at its most colourful.

Her journey began with a scenic train ride from Luleå to Narvik, travelling through landscapes dressed in beautiful autumn colours. With fewer visitors, crisp air and the first Northern Lights of the season, it’s a wonderful time to experience a quieter side of Norway.

From exploring the dramatic landscapes of Rago National Park and visiting the picturesque Tranøy Lighthouse to winding road trips through the mountains, every day brought something new.

A particular highlight was a night at Wood Hotel Bodø, where Karolina enjoyed a relaxing sauna, spectacular views across the sea and mountains, and a breakfast worth remembering.

Golden landscapes, peaceful roads, crisp mornings and the magic of the first auroras. Northern Norway in autumn really is something special.

It's moments like these that remind us why we love exploring the Nordics ourselves: discovering the places, people and experiences we can share with our travel partners.

Jolien recently visited the fascinating Falun Copper Mine in Sweden, heading approximately 60 metres underground to discover the incredible history hidden beneath the surface.

Once one of the world's most important copper mines, Falun played a significant role in shaping Sweden's economy, culture and heritage.

Jolien was blown away by the scale of the mine and the fascinating stories shared by the guides, bringing centuries of Swedish history to life.

With private guided tours also available, it's a fantastic experience to incorporate into a tailor-made itinerary for travellers who want to explore Sweden beyond the usual sights.

Yesterday was Cinnamon Bun Day in Sweden and naturally, we had to celebrate! 🇸🇪

Katie marked the occasion by whipping up a batch of amazing homemade cinnamon buns, filling the kitchen with one of our favourite scents of the Nordic autumn. There’s something especially comforting about a warm, freshly baked kanelbulle with a cup of coffee, fika at its very best.

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make a place memorable.

Annika and Els recently visited Liseberg and had the chance to explore the beautifully designed Hotel Grand Curiosa, a hotel full of character, imagination and unexpected details at every turn.

From the richly patterned wallpaper to the playful interiors and the striking steampunk-inspired installation above the staircase, there was so much to stop and admire. And for younger guests, there is an extra touch of magic: the chance to slide all the way down from the highest floor.

It’s the kind of hotel where the design becomes part of the experience, with something new to notice around every corner.

For us, visits like this are about understanding not just where our guests might stay, but how a property feels... the atmosphere, the personality and those little details that can turn a hotel into part of the story of a trip.

Today is World Tourism Day, a chance to celebrate the places, people and experiences that make travel so important.

For us, the Nordics are far more than a collection of destinations. They are home, both to members of our own team and to the local partners, guides, hoteliers, chefs and communities we work alongside every day. Living and working here gives us a genuine connection to the places we share with our travellers, built through first hand experience, local relationships and a deep understanding of the region.

From Sweden and Norway to Finland, Iceland and Denmark, our job is to help people experience these countries properly, working with those who know their corner of the Nordics best and creating journeys that feel connected to the place.

Today we are celebrating everyone across the region who makes those experiences possible.

On the road with Els and Annika 🇸🇪

Els and Annika were exploring Sweden last week on a mini FAM trip, visiting Hello Sunnanhed, Gothenburg and Pater Noster. They’re meeting great partners, discovering new places and gathering plenty of inspiration for future Nordic journeys.

They’ve also been getting creative, carving their own Dala horses! A hands-on encounter with Swedish craftsmanship, and a lovely example of how experiencing local traditions can become a memorable part of a trip.

For us at All Nordics, these visits are about more than seeing somewhere beautiful. They’re about getting to know the people behind each experience, understanding what makes a place special and spotting the little details that help us find the right fit for your clients.

There’s nothing quite like being there, asking questions and spending time with our partners to bring fresh ideas to the itineraries we create together. We look forward to sharing their discoveries!

Katie recently stayed at Hagastrand with her family and came away impressed by how easily it combines access to the city with a much calmer, more wellness focused setting beside the waters of Brunnsviken.

Just ten minutes by taxi from central Stockholm, Hagastrand feels far more removed than it really is, but in a good way. Guests can spend the day exploring the city, then return to Royal Haga Park for time by the water, a walk through the park and an impressive spa experience.

The 2,500 square metre spa is a real highlight, with Nordic saunas, a hammam, snow room, contrast therapy, underwater music and a series of unusual relaxation spaces designed around sound, light and recovery.

This Autumn, Hanna travelled through Finland’s Lake Saimaa region, exploring a part of the country where forests, water, food and history come together beautifully.

From the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Verla and the forested Punkaharju Ridge to Olavinlinna Castle, traditional lake cruises and the chance to spot the rare Saimaa ringed seal, every stop revealed another side of Finnish Lakeland.

There was plenty of food along the way too, with local fish, seasonal produce, wild berries and harvest flavours, alongside one of Finland’s most important rituals, a hot sauna followed by a cold dip in the lake.

Hanna also had an exclusive first look at Kotona Manor, a new luxury estate currently in development, before finishing the journey back in Helsinki with cocktails at Waldorf Astoria Helsinki and dinner at Bouchon Carême.
