We ski-tour in the alps, visits the mountain gorillas in Rwanda or Uganda, do cultural treks or summit attempts on a snow capped mountain in Nepal. We climb Kilimanjaro, paddle white waters, or we loose ourselves with the family in a deep forest. With many years of experience and

Soon it’s time to once again climb onboard the Land Cruisers and leave the paved roads behind.

Deep into Rwanda and Uganda. Through red dirt roads, misty mountains and endless African horizons.

We travel in the footsteps of Dr. Livingstone.
We stand face to face with the Gorillas in the Mist.
We share songs and dances with proud Pygmé tribes.
We experience Africa the way it once was - raw, authentic and breathtakingly beautiful.

The Search Sh**un Expedition ”Spring” has come to an end, and everyone has safely returned home.

I’m truly grateful and happy for the wonderful journey and experience we created all together. 🐻🌸🇯🇵🎏

We are looking forward to our next trip ”Autumn” in mid-October.

What a start to the journey.

After a few great days in Kathmandu with Saran S***a, our guests have now arrived safely in Bhutan. This morning they landed in Paro, where Subharashee Otoko (Mr. Prabit) from Hi On Life Adventures was there to welcome them.

The flight in was something special. Clear skies, full daylight, and the Himalayas laid out below. Few things compare to seeing these mountains from the air.

On the image you’re seeing the Everest massif - Mount Everest itself together with Lhotse and Nuptse. A strong start, and now Bhutan begins.

We have just ended our first Japan Sh**un Expedition and we met our guide, Hiromi-san for the first time in person. And what an amazing guide and expedition member she is. 🤩

We are so proud to introduce Hiromi - a local guide from Azumino. Certified as a guide and interpreter, and trained in Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA), she brings safety, knowledge, and genuine presence to every experience.

Her journey has taken her abroad, including time in London, where her interest in traditional Japanese culture deepened. She later worked at a traditional ryotei in Kyoto, refining her understanding of Japanese cuisine and its traditions.

After years in Hokkaido and Kanazawa, she returned home to Azumino.

Today, Hiromi lives close to nature in a small farming village, where she makes miso and soy sauce from scratch. This simple, authentic lifestyle shapes her guiding.

With Hiromi, we didn’t just visit places - we experienced a way of life. Exactly what we’re searching for, and why we are proud to work with her.

Thanks for leading us through the amazing and beautiful Japanese history, culture and country.
