When you live in the countryside of northern Sweden, this is what you got at your backyard. Mountains, nature, forests and lovely spots for camping!

We are outside for just one night. Camping, filming, enjoying the life out here. Annie and Johnny are with us on the trail. Tomorrow morning we will be back home. Sled dog training, computer work and so on. That’s also fun stuff to do.

The tent (we always get questions about it) is a Nortent Vern 2 with stove-jack. Inside we got a Winnerwell wood stove. Warm and cosy!

Training season is definitely on here in the north. Days are getting shorter, temperatures cooling down and the dogs are eager to go. We are as well eager to go.

This time of the year we spend several hours per day out on the trail. This will continue until end of april. That’s how a life with sleddogs is. Not bad at all!

But I also have to be honest… What happened with the summer? Is it already gone???

The fall is here and the nature have really fast been changing colours. Last evening, during sunset, we went up on one of the hills, Ruotevare, just to see the sunset. We have seen it before but it’s no chance that it will become boring.

The autumn is definitely here! Summer has passed bye really quick one more time. Almost little bit scary hos fast the years passes by.

During my last backpacking trip Annie was following. She’s just a fantastic small friend. She has passed the age of 10yo. Times are running.

She has no hunting instincts at all. Therefore it’s possible for her to be free. She looks at reindeers but comes closer to me if there’s something on the trail.

So, if you’re going to have a dog as outdoor friend. Value to get a dog without hunting instinct in the breed. You should also find a breed that has the energy level that fit to your lifestyle. Border Collie… they are little bit over the edge in the energy for people with normal work in most of the cases.

When you kayak during a rainy day you are sitting in a kind of weather protected cocoon. It can be really cosy, warm and dry experience.

This pictures are from some weeks ago. Stina and I hade a sunny kajak trip but on the way back home we got some intense rain. Luckily we didn’t went out without our rain proof jackets!

This is the mountain Nallo. Kind of impressive one! It’s ’behind’ Kebnekaise, where most of the people are going. Luckily Nallo takes some effort to reach. Therefore it’s much less people here.

This is also some of the pictures from the solo hike Annie and I made. I will show you more and it’s also a video on the way.

Last week I made a solo backpacking trip around Sweden’s highest mountain, Kebnekaise. Annie and I hiked, camped, sleeping and enjoyed the life. Here are some pictures from the first days and more will come. I already have started to edit a video and hopefully it will give some value to all of you who watch it. I probably need some days with the computer before the video is ready.
