Constructed in 1894, this Tudor Revival building boasts red brick façades, steeply pitched roofs, and a distinctive clock tower, reflecting the British influence on the town often dubbed 'Little England' .
Beyond its architectural charm, the post office holds cultural significance. In 1990, Sri Lanka Post commemorated World Postal Day by issuing a Rs. 10 stamp featuring the building, further cementing its status as a national landmark .
