Some photos from the archives, dating back 16 years to 2010, when Garrott traveled to Australia with his dad to compete in the Kangaroo Hoppet himself (and even made the podium, we might add)!

That trip was filled with Worldloppet fun, crust skiing on the Bogong Plateau, and plenty of kangaroo sightings. 🦘 🇦🇺

🇩🇪 Happy German Unity Day!

Celebrated every October 3, German Unity Day marks the reunification of East and West Germany in 1990. Perhaps also a happy coincidence that Unity Day falls on the last Saturday of Oktoberfest this year. Prost!

A good excuse to celebrate Germany, its culture, its landscapes and, of course, its mountains, which guests get to experience on Lumi's König Ludwig Lauf Lumi trip. 🏔️🥨🍻

Longtime Lumi guest Cowboybob of Madison, Wisconsin, shares his experiences from his many Lumi trips in this week’s Lumi blog. Cowboybob earned his moniker early in his career to differentiate the Roberts in his workplace. He now leans into the persona, sporting his iconic cowboy hat on ski trails around the world.

Cowboybob joined our Seefeld & Engadin trip to Austria and Switzerland in March 2026 and has taken part in several other Lumi trips over the years as he works toward becoming a Worldloppet Master. Along the way, he’s made new friends, collected plenty of memories, and found plenty of reasons to keep coming back for more.
