Its not just dogs are forest living here. After a couple of years with little to no planting compared to what we've done before we are not feeling like we have the time and energy again to get the garden going. Slowly but surely we are again building up some food sovereignty.

The creek behind the house is finally open and Josef and I took our premiere trip with the canoe.
His two main takeaways were -
1. We forgot to bring the fishing equipment.
2. He loves being out on in the canoe.

As this spring winter season disspareded right in front of our eyes we can't help to look forward to being out on open water again.
These photos are from last year's canoe trip together we hosted with and we're running another one in August this year if you fancy small beaver filled creeks, big lakes, crafts, foraging, sauna, river dipping, community and good food!

More foraging, scouting and working.
Cloudberries to snack on, heather for tea, hazel grouse and a nice looking river.
The river in the photo has been cleared for timber floating but not nearly as much or intensely as the bigger rivers around. So it still has a fair amount of natural structures in it which is nice to see!
