Harvesting Birch bark from a few trees down by our cabin. We're lucky enough to live and steward this property we want to utilize the sustainable resources around us. Birch bark being one of them. Crafting with Birch has long traditions and its something I want to get better at, and step one of any project is sourcing the material. And this is how it is done.

A cold and rainy start to the work week. Working in the nature restoration field has its challenges but it also has an overwhelming amount of perks.

Its not just dogs are forest living here. After a couple of years with little to no planting compared to what we've done before we are not feeling like we have the time and energy again to get the garden going. Slowly but surely we are again building up some food sovereignty.
