Hidden gem: Built in the 1870s by the Limnell couple, Villa Lyran served as a vibrant summer retreat and gathering spot, hosting notable figures such as Selma Lagerlöf, Jenny Lind, Carl David af Wirsén, and Henrik Ibsen. King Oscar II visited twice, expressing his admiration for the villa.
The interior retains its original charm, featuring wood paneling, stucco, and a beautifully sculpted fireplace. Outside, visitors can stroll along the waterfront porch, admire the intricate leaf-cutting details, and enjoy the stunning views from the iconic tower overlooking Lake Mälaren.
Located between Mälarhöjden and Bredäng in Stockholm, the villa is still available for rent for parties, weddings, or a simple coffee break.
