Today was a truly inspiring day hosting a group of undergrad students and faculty from Iowa State University for our Swedish Innovation & Entrepreneurship Experience here in Stockholm 🇸🇪✨

At Greenhouse Labs (KTH Royal Institute of Technology), the group saw how ideas move from lab to market and met Reselo founders Josefin Larsson and Thomas Baumgarten, who turn birch bark waste into a fossil-free rubber alternative 🌲⚙️

Then at Norrsken, one of Stockholm’s leading impact hubs, they experienced the community behind purpose-driven startups, and heard Flexpenser co-founder Giulia Gaudenzi share how their micro-valve technology reduces waste in liquid products 💧🧪

Throughout the day we linked innovation to the wider Swedish context: welfare state, free education, public grants & research funding, and a high-trust, knowledge-driven society 📚🤝

The Vasa Museum is one of Stockholm’s most visited cultural attractions and for good reason

The museum is built around the Vasa ship, a massive warship that sank in Stockholm in 1628 during its very first voyage. After spending more than 300 years underwater, the ship was recovered almost fully preserved and turned into one of Sweden’s most unique museums.

Today, visitors can explore the ship up close while learning more about life in 17th-century Sweden, maritime history and the story behind one of the country’s most famous historical discoveries.

The Vasa Museum is also included in our Must Sees of Stockholm experience for travelers who want to discover some of the city’s most iconic places with a local guide ⚓️
