Swedish love fika, but no fika is like a 'fettisdag' (Fat Tuesday or Shrove Day) fika with a semla.

Everyone in Sweden look forward to this irresistible sweet bun yearly.
A cardamom-spiced, sweet wheat bun which has its top cut off, and is then filled with a mix of milk and almond paste, topped with whipped cream and sprinkle of icing sugar. What not to like, eh?

This is traditionally eaten the day before Lent, this year it falls on 1 Mar.
But, nowadays, it is eaten as soon as they hit the shelves and usally lasted till at least after Easter.
