Happy International Children's Day 🌐

Today, June 1st, we celebrate the joy, laughter, and bright futures of little ones all around the globe.

In Romania, Children's Day is an official national holiday when schools and offices close, to give parents and children more time together Streets transform into giant playgrounds with face painting, puppet shows, and endless sweet treats. 🍭

🦔 A extra special shoutout to our Kindergarten fröken and lifelong friend Nane 🎈 has a special hedgehog visitor joining the fun. Whether he's teaching the kids about nature or just hunting for snacks, he’s definitely the cutest guest at the party!

🦇Happy Dracula Day🦇

May 26th 1897, Bram Stoker published the novel Dracula 📙

His fictional character has become such a household name that we even have him in this shape nowadays: 🧛

Let's celebrate this year's Dracula Day with great news for next year already!

In honour of the 130th Anniversary of Dracula, join the ultimate pilgrimage led by Dacre Stoker, the great-grandnephew of Bram Stoker himself.

This is the only literary tour connecting the novel's two iconic pillars: the haunting ruins of Whitby and the mist-veiled forests of Transylvania.

Walk in the Count’s footsteps as Dacre reveals the hidden history and folklore that inspired his ancestor, immersing you in two vastly different, yet equally rich cultures.

TOUR ALTERNATIVES:
28 - 30 May 2027: Whitby

30 May - 6 June 2027: Transylvania

28 May - 30 June 2027: Whitby + Transylvania

Both legs are available independently, but why chooose? You can save 100€ by bundling the full experience 💡

And only today, to celebrate Dracula Day, we have a flash sale: an extra 100€ off if you book any of the three tour alternatives 💰

Flights are not included, but the stakes are high for early birds: the first 5 travelers to book by August 5th receive a free one-way flight from the UK to Romania. ✈️

Don't let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity vanish into the night. Check the link in our bio to secure your spot in the Stoker legacy! 🕸️

Many thanks to those who inspired us to create this kind of itinerary.

Loving credit to Colin Hamilton and Ross Appleyard for setting the ground for an expressive video through image and voice.

And thank you all who are part of these unforgettable tours, as guests or organizing partners.

Thank you Countess Allison Cheesman and Gary Cheesman for organizing a wonderful event in Whitby.

With the tremendous knowledge sharing of Dacre Stoker Author and the impressive perfomance of Ellie Zeegen, this year's Stoker Gathering was about Dracula & The Land Beyond the Forest, focusing on the influence of Emily Gerard's work upon Bram Stoker's writing of the novel Dracula.

What an amazing team Dacre & Ellie make! And what a wonderful audience you all were, dear Whitby-Stokers!

Credit to Glenn Smith for the excellently executed artifacts and Neal Rylatt & Colin Hamiltonfor excellent photos. We used the photos from previous years for this video, but we're sure new ones are soon coming up.

See you at the 130th anniversary of the novel Dracula next year!

This does not happen often, but when it does, it's cool to be there: the retractable glass ceiling at Royal Peles Castle in Romania in action! We imagine how exciting it must have been for King Carol I to push the button back in 1911 :)
