The Most Expensive Part of a Shooting Range Isn't What You Think

Many agencies focus on the initial construction cost of a range.

The smarter question is:
What will the range cost to operate, maintain, and upgrade over the next 20 years?

Poorly designed ventilation systems, difficult-to-maintain bullet traps, inaccessible equipment, and inflexible training layouts can create significant long-term expenses and downtime.

A well-designed range should be built with the future in mind:
✔ Reduced maintenance requirements
✔ Simplified lead management
✔ Flexible tactical training capabilities
✔ Durable equipment designed for high-volume use
✔ Easy access for inspections and servicing

At Odin Target, we work with clients to develop solutions that deliver value throughout the entire lifecycle of the facility—not just on opening day.

Because the true cost of a range isn't measured when it's built.
It's measured every day afterward.

Engineered for Performance. Designed for a Cleaner, Safer Range.

At Odin Target, we designed our conveyor system with more than efficiency in mind — we built it to support a cleaner, safer, and more environmentally responsible shooting range operation.

Our conveyor-driven bullet trap system is engineered to continuously collect and transport spent lead and debris in a controlled, enclosed process. By automating material handling, we help reduce airborne lead exposure, minimize manual cleanup, and support safer maintenance procedures for range staff.

The system also improves environmental management by:
• Reducing lead dust accumulation throughout the range
• Supporting easier lead reclamation and recycling
• Lowering maintenance downtime and labor requirements
• Improving overall air quality within the facility
• Helping ranges maintain cleaner and more sustainable operations

At Odin Target, we believe advanced range technology should not only perform at the highest level — it should also contribute to a safer environment for operators, shooters, and maintenance teams alike.

Innovation, performance, and environmental responsibility can work together — and our conveyor system is built to prove it.

Is your shooting range truly tactical?

Does it give your officers a place to train the way they actually operate in the field — moving, communicating, and responding to dynamic situations?

Too many ranges are still designed for static lane shooting, limiting the realism and effectiveness of training.

Odin Target designs and builds advanced tactical shooting ranges that support movement, scenario-based training, and realistic operational environments.

Because better training environments lead to better prepared officers.
