Endless things have been said and written (not to mention photographed) about the Nordic winter. We don’t often get snow in Gothenburg (anymore), but when we do. There’s no place like here. Grilling a sausage or three over an open fire by the sea in the crisp cold as the sun slowly descends to an early sunset. We’d love to take you!

We took a personal trip to enjoy Tennessee Williams’ ”Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” at the local play house, followed by a lobster palooza at Fiskekrogen. Gothenburg at its best. The vista on the way home was amazing. We love the warm late September weather here in Gothenburg.

Fall is the perfect time to visit Gothenburg and/or the archipelago. The sun still warms enough for long walks, it's often sunny, and the air is crisp and clean. Even picking mushrooms or watching wildlife is a fun this time of year. Ask us for a suggestion for your private tour of Gothenburg!

Summer isn't over and even if fall were to make an appearance, as it undoubtedly will, it's still a good time to visit Gothenburg and/or the archipelago, spend some time on our narrow roads, explore the villages and the stunning sights that Mother Nature has to offer. Be it on foot, by private boat or public ferries, we'd be happy to show you our tome town and its beautiful "garden of islands"!

Last night we took a journalist around the island. They were here to review the new hotel on the island and had reached out to us for a tour. It was a privilege to showcase all that the island has to offer (apart from the new hotel) to what will undoubtedly be a raving review of things to do on the Swedish West Coast and the amazing Gothenburg Archipelago. We spent almost two hours talking about living conditions here, what attracts people to live here (as well as visitors). We hope to have made a good impression on behalf of all the islands.

Today, we were privileged to do a long city tour with the mother of a scientist attending a conference in town. While the daughter was conferencing away, the mother and I discovered Gothenburg together at a very leisurely pace, taking many photos of all kinds of different things. Tomorrow, we hit the archipelago and sights reached by car. It's going to be a glorious day!

Four days, three groups of guests whom we’ve been able to show around. As a ”local”, it’s always a nice reminder of how lucky we are to live here when our guests are amazed at the sights, the food, or the pristine waters. Lots of stories to tell when they get home.
