Teil 1: Almwanderung nach Östra Arådalen

Eine herrliche leichte Wanderung durch das Naturreservat Arådalen zur Alm Östra Arådalen. Man wandert durch alten Fichtenbestand, der in höheren Lagen in Birken übergeht. Die Alm selber liegt direkt an der Baumgrenze. Von dort genießt man den Blick in die Umgebung oder macht sich noch weiter auf, die Umgebung zu erkunden.

Diese Wanderung ist eine von 32 Wandertipps, die wir in unserem Aktivführer "Oviksfjällen" zusammen gestellt haben. Season is changing and weather is turning slowly into spring in Jämtland. Evenings are much brighter now again. Östersund is already looking like it was end of april. We drove on snow-free roads below the mountain region on our way to the city. Spring feelings are welcome!🤗

We try to be outside as much as we can. Sometimes it might seem that we spend plenty of hours active in nature. Sometimes this is true but in fact you can already experience this unique sceneries while just "being aeay" for e.g. 1 hour. The mist important thing is that you really do it. The most magical surprises usually are just around the corner of where you are!

Our cosy restbank along the hiking trail to Nybodarna was almost hidden amongst snow when we were hiking along with snowshoes.

We are mostly hiking with snowshoes from Tubbs and are very satisfied with them. Our rental snowshoes are from TSL. You can rent them from us during as guests in our cottages.

Feels like over the clouds up in the sky! 🌤️ In deed these are nature impressions captured while being on the weekends mountain hike, once again to the crest of the Hundshögen 1.372 m in Swedish region of Jämtland.

Here the river Ljungan passes a very narrow canyon and the waterfall is almost frozen.
