Camping and holiday cottages at Galå Fjällgård in Sweden 🇸🇪

We started to built up our lodge in the middle of nowhere - the beautiful mountain area of Oviksfjällen in Jämtland, Sweden.

Nowadays our business runs 4 fully equipped rental cottages, a small familiar campsite with 7 pitches and a hostel accommodation with 4 beds. We offer hiking, mtb tours, fishing licenses, crosscountry skiing, snowshoeing and just relaxing in the wilderness of Northern Sweden.

Outdoor adventures and hiking are our passion and we offer plenty of day hikes in the surrounding of our lodge. Many of these hikes you will find in our own hiking guide for Oviksfjällen.

A wonderful sunny morning at Galå Fjällgård in Jämtland/ Sweden 🇸🇪

Our newly arrived guests will start their holiday week with some hiking and fishing in the surroundings.

At Galå Fjällgård we offer fully equipped timber cottages for self-catering. All cabins are very cosy and have generous space for 2-6 persons.

Spring time in the Swedish mountains of Jämtland 🇸🇪
After having worked all the day with repair and construction for Summer season 2026 we enjoyed a hour in the evening by walking to this beautiful silent place.

When nature slowly awakes after a long period of winter months, we will open our campsite for summer season at 23rd May 2026.

At Galå Fjällgård we offer pitches for campers and caravans on our small campsite in the mudst of Swedish wilderness. We also rent out fully equipped timber cottages for self-catering. All cabins are very cosy and have generous space for 2-6 persons.

Spring is on its way to Jämtland and Oviksfjällen. In a couple of weeks the mountains in Northern Sweden will be more green than white and we can climb up the tops on hiking boots.

The final impressions from our last skiing day at Oviksfjällen in Sweden.
The mountains of Jämtland in Northern Sweden still offered plenty of snow and good skiing conditions.

This is also closing of our winter tourism season at Galå Fjällgård. Thanks for many lovely guests in our cottage and numerous charming conversations at the campfire, along the skiing track or during one of our guided tours.
