Very sad news from the Serengeti. Snyggve, the most famous lion from the world-renowned national reserve, has died. He was killed today morning in a fight with three younger males.
Snyggve who was also known as Bob Jr. by many guides, was a long term ruler of the Namiri Plains together with his coalition partner and brother Tryggve. He was the son of the legendary male C-Boy and a dominant male for approximately 7 years. At the advanced age of 12 years this unique male lion has now died fighting, a honorable death among lions. We pay our respect and say goodbye to what was probably the best looking lion of the entire Serengeti.
