Today divers from Västervik Dive Park took part in an event arranged by the tourist organisation Västervik Framåt (Västervik Forward) called Västervik Outdoor. In the old fishing harbour there were activities by the sailing club, the kajak club and the divers. We picked up rubish from the bottom and colected loads of bottles and beer cans plus some bikes and car tires

TRIO
Right now we are working on the research for the article on the wreck after Trio - built in 1903, now resting since May 1919 in the waters outside Västervik. Soon this will be published on our website with information on the wrecks in Västervik Dykpark.

Today our new display about the wreck of Prosper officially opened in Västerviks Museum. We are very proud to be represented as Västervik Dykpark in the same room as the exhibition of the world famous wreck of Mars Makalös!

Historical moment!
On Wednesday we plan to install the first buoy approved by the Swedish Ministry of Transportation. The 3 meter long "Specialmärke" is prepared and ready to be attached to the 400 stone on the bottom. The Installation is sponsored by the marine service company "Kaj Bojsten":
