Big Triggerfish on a remote tiny atoll outside of PNG. It’s hard to describe how unique situations like this are when exploring in the middle of nowhere. We stepped onto this atoll at exactly the right moment — dropping tide and Triggerfish everywhere. Shaky hands after just losing a fly, trying to tie on a new one while watching these fish happily swimming all around us. We’ll never forget this morning.

Our first spring season at Las Buitreras starts this November. Swing flies for fresh chrome sea trout and explore 70 km of untouched spring creeks for brook trout. Limited to just 8 rods per week.

Autumn 🍂 at Las Buitreras 🇦🇷. Incredible fishing the last couple of days after the water dropped—lots of fresh fish and great conditions! We are going now into our last week of the season.

One minute of pure sea trout magic on the single hander at Estancia Las Buitreras and just a glimpse of a 5 min fight with this super chrome fish. Floating line and a small nymph on the swing. We could see the fish following, pushing a bow wave behind the fly, seconds before it took the nymph just below the surface. That’s what Las Buitreras is all about!
