Bamboo is the world’s most renewable resources!
We would like to inform you about Bamboo. This material has been used a lot the past year in everything from kitchen-ware to clothes.
The advantages with bamboo is that the plant grows up to 120 centimeters per day. Bamboo is technically a grass and can be cut without being killed, it just continues to grow. This means that the wood can be harvested without damaging the plant itself and the plant doesn’t need any pesticides to grow. To use bamboo wood or bamboo fiber is good for the environment compared to other materials.
The wood is very durable and antibacterial a big advantage when used to produce kitchen utensils, trays, cutting boards and other wood items.
New!! Bamboo is very strong and durable but mixed with melamine it can be light and flexible and used for plates, mugs, trays and other nice kitchen items. It can be moulded and printed in very nice designs and we see that many nice products have reached the shops in Scandinavia. The bamboo/melamine material is a good alternative to plastic. The material is heat, stain and water resistant, a great product made from bamboo/melamine is the popular to-go-mug!
