Rave Harps

Rave Harps Rave Harps, founded by award-winning harpist Katryna Tan, is Singapore's leading Harp Academy and to Rave Harpers is Singapore’s leading Harp orchestra.

The Rave Harps Academy has been in Singapore for more than 10 years, changing the musical landscape for the harp in the region. We have nurtured a whole generation of young harpists, from as young as 5 years old and shaped them into outstanding musicians who enjoy the harp and enjoy making music. Many of our students have taken a step beyond just our shores and have won international competitions

in Japan, Thailand, France and the United Kingdom. Many of our graduates have also taken up the instrument professionally and pursued tertiary studies in harp at exclusive and prestigious music schools. Students of Rave Harps Academy also have the opportunity to join the Rave Harpers. Led and directed by Young Artist award winner Katryna Tan, this group was formed in year 2004 and has since performed in various musical events and concerts. There were lots of giggles, confusion, “oops” moments 🙊, getting lost 😵‍💫… and plenty of learning how to listen, count, watch and play together for the very first time. 💕

From our youngest harpists to advanced players, students of all ages came together for an inspiring masterclass with Katryna Tan.

Through rhythm, dance, expression, ensemble work, and musical storytelling, every session was filled with energy, laughter, and meaningful learning. 🎶

Watching students grow in confidence, musicality, listening skills, and stage presence throughout the day was truly rewarding.

An intensive and fruitful experience where learning became alive — interactive, engaging, and deeply inspiring for both students and teachers alike.
