How the Yurt Class at Art Loft Began

Six years ago, a group of students who had grown up with us at Art Loft expressed their desire to continue beyond the age of 12. Their enthusiasm and commitment inspired us to start a class specifically for older kids—the Yurt Class.

In 2023 and 2024, the Yurt artists embarked on a two-year journey of creative exploration, experimenting with a wide range of materials and techniques. Their dedication and growth have been remarkable.

Now, in 2025, we are proud to give centre stage to these young artists. We've dedicated a special wall in our studio to showcase their creativity and vision. This marks the launch of our Student Artist Solo Series, an initiative celebrating the individual voices of our young talents.
We’re excited to kick off the series with a solo exhibition by Lucas, an artist who discovered peace and inspiration through printmaking.
