Over 7,000 sweet-smelling lilies representing 46 species and varieties are in full bloom at the ๐‹๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ญ๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐š floral display at ๐…๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐ƒ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž, set against the picturesque backdrop of Ancient Egyptโ€™s colours and lush gardens. Running till 27 September, this is Gardens by the Bayโ€™s first Ancient Egypt-themed floral display.

Perfuming the air with their sweet scents, the gorgeous lilies are set in a landscape that showcases Egyptโ€™s Nile-fed gardens and vividly coloured temple settings inspired by hieroglyphic art.

Check out the 4.5m-tall faรงade inspired by the Great Temple of Abu Simbel; an architecture inspired by the Temple of Edfu; colourful hieroglyphs inspired by the Temple of Hathor at Dendera; towering deity statues; a solar barque; and traditional irrigation tools like the shaduf and Archimedes screw.

Look out for the rarely seen Egyptian blue waterlily; giant Victoria waterlily species; Lilium โ€˜Tiny Massiveโ€™, a compact Asiatic lily with striking yellow petals and dark centres; and Lilium โ€˜Tropical Dragonโ€™, an unusual lily with narrow, curled lime-green petals edged and streaked in vivid pink.
