๐ฟ Into the Wild, with World-Class Hospitality ๐ฟ
The SHATEC Class of Sep 2024 full-time trainees were off on yet another adventure โ this time into the heart of nature, where luxury and sustainability go hand in hand. Their latest learning journey brought them to the stunning Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, accompanied by our trainers and support staff.
From the moment we were welcomed by the gracious HR team, Eileen Ang and Amelia Wan, the experience unfolded like no other. At the heart of this architectural marvel lies a powerful commitment to sustainability โ with naturally ventilated public spaces that redefine eco-conscious luxury.
๐ฝ๏ธ At Forage, the resortโs signature restaurant, trainees discovered the story behind the famed โTrust the Chefโ menu, where fresh ingredients are harvested straight from the rooftop edible garden. Over at Planterโs Shed, all-day dining takes on a thoughtful twist with local and international flavours curated to delight.
๐จโ๐ณ Behind the scenes, we were treated to a rare glimpse of the culinary team in action during the lunch rush โ a masterclass in precision and professionalism. From the vibrant kids' club to the elegant Banyan Tree gallery, the tour revealed a full spectrum of guest-centric amenities and elevated design thinking.
๐ฑ Sustainability was a thread woven into every detail โ from eco-friendly building practices to the conscious guest experiences that reflect the brand's ethos.
Though room viewings were off the cards due to full occupancy (a testament to the resortโs popularity!), the tour ended on a high with panoramic rooftop views, a lively Q&A and a warm round of refreshments.
