June 19, 2025 - Introducing STGS presents: SNIPPETS, a new series! Specially curated content by member TGs for members only. Today's TG is Gregory Peck with “Bridges of the Singapore River”

Hear what participants have to say -

This morning I get to see the bridges spanning across the Singapore River from many different angles. Not just its physical form, statistical and historical details but how it links people, culture and development together through the different eras. It made me think and start connecting a new discovery to those that I already knew. A refreshing perspective indeed! Thank you Gregory for a well researched and presented tour! - TG Ayob

I enjoyed how Gregory infused art and history in his tour of the Bridges of the Singapore River got me thinking about metaphorical bridges too.

Much thanks to May for coming up with this learning journey for fellow guides to meet and learn from one another. A valuable resource for a newly minted guide like me. - TG Liz

17 May 2025 STGS presents Walk with May at SGH - Today's tour took us off the usual beaten track so to speak.. we usually just briskly walk thru the various connecting buildings at SGH to reach our destination, probably taking an occasional glimpse at the various prints and articles on the walls along the winding corridors.. today's tour opened our eyes to some of the lesser noticed but yet significant aspects of the history of our SG medical history.. a lone cross marking the water tank that became a hasty burial site of victims who perished in captivity.. and then a partially hidden sign next to the road near the College of Medicine reminding us of the grim killing of several medical/dental students by the approaching enemy soldiers.. and on a lighter note, we also saw the building where Dr Mahathir met his future wife.. these were but only a few of the interesting things we saw and learnt during the short but enlightening little walk around SGH today.. many thanks to May who had took efforts to make this happen 👍🏻🙏🏻 - by TG Pamerin Leong

This event enriched the guides' perspectives, enabling them to provide more insightful tours showcasing Singapore's unique cultural diversity.

STGS would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Magdaline Tan , James Low and the two IRO representatives for making this event meaningful and impactful.
