One of the standout moments from Day 3 of the Halal in Travel Global Summit 2025 was the finale of the HalalTrip Content Creator Tank , a platform created to empower emerging Muslim creators and connect them with global destinations.

After weeks of preparation and live pitching on June 11, three creators were selected by our destination partners to bring their travel ideas to life. Each pitch showcased a unique voice, creative vision, and a passion for purposeful, Muslim-friendly travel.

🌿 Sarawak – Nurul Amira Binte Rahmat ()
A travel creator and cabin crew member, Amira is known for her honest storytelling and practical halal travel guides. Her Sarawak pitch highlighted the state's rich culture and natural beauty through a heartfelt Muslim-friendly lens.

🇪🇸 Spain – Siti Nur Sabrina Binte Yusri ()
Based in Singapore, Sabrina is a lifestyle and travel creator known for her warm, relatable storytelling. With a strong media background, she pitched a journey through Spain that reflected cultural curiosity, everyday moments, and faith-conscious exploration.

🌆 Hong Kong – Zakky Hirza Aulia ()
An Indonesian creator with a passion for history and heritage, Zakky’s content invites audiences to connect deeply with local stories, people, and culture. His Hong Kong pitch blended thoughtful observation with immersive storytelling.

At Day 3 of the Halal In Travel Global Summit 2025, Fazal Bahardeen, CEO of CrescentRating and HalalTrip, took the stage to unveil the 10th edition of the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI), a milestone moment that marks over a decade of shaping the future of Muslim-friendly travel.

In his keynote, Fazal shared how the global Muslim travel market has evolved, with 176 million international arrivals in 2024, surpassing pre-pandemic levels by 10%, and projected to reach 245 million by 2030. The GMTI 2025 introduces new sub-indices focused on accessibility and inclusion, while highlighting powerful shifts in traveler behavior, technology, and destination strategies.

Key takeaways included the rise of purpose-driven journeys, the growing influence of solo and female Muslim travelers, increasing neurodiversity awareness, and how destinations from Singapore to Saudi Arabia to Hong Kong are redefining global benchmarks in inclusive travel.

[Setting the Global Stage for Halal Travel]

At Day 3 of the Halal In Travel Global Summit 2025, we had the honor of welcoming Mr. Harry Hwang, Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific at UN Tourism, as our keynote speaker.

Mr. Hwang delivered a powerful global perspective on the growing influence of the Muslim travel market, highlighting key trends, the importance of sustainability, and the role of values-based tourism in shaping a more inclusive future.

His insights reminded us that halal travel is not only an economic opportunity, but also a meaningful movement toward more conscious and connected global tourism.

Following his address, Mr. Fazal Bahardeen presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Hwang on behalf of CrescentRating and HalalTrip.
