NTA Singapore x Muji Singapore - Hiroshima Cycling Tour

Calling all cyclist!!! Would you like to join us for this cycling tour in Hiroshima?

Enjoy breathtaking scenery at Shimanami Kaido cycling route. Other than cycling, you can visit sightseeing places which Hiroshima prefecture has to offer.

This is a Land only Tour. *Flight not included. So, you can do your own extension before or after the tour.

Travel Date: 20 - 23 Oct (4D3N)

- Rental Bicycle and helmet is included.
- The price SGD 1,290 is based on per person under twin sharing basis.

Have you been to the dinosaur kingdom in Japan?

It is located in Fukui prefecture. Due to most of the dinosaur fossils are found here in Japan. Hence, it got its name, dinosaur kingdom.

The whole city is mostly about dinosaurs so you can see a lot of dinosaur statues upon arriving the city. One of the three largest dinosaur museum is located here in Fukui. If you are interested in dinosaur or their research, this is the place that is not to be missed.

If you are interested in archaeology, you may want to visit the Ichijodani Asakura castle town ruins. You can check out the restored castle town area and ruins of the town that has been unearthed.

You can reach Fukui by taking the extended Hokuriku shinkansen line from Tokyo or 1 train change from Osaka. It has become more accessible than before.

There are a few JR pass that will cover the train ride to Fukui from Tokyo or Osaka.

A summer dance festival not to be missed.

You may have hear of the fool's dance in Japan aka Awa Odori. The nickname come from the lyrics of a local dance song. This dance originated from Tokushima, Shikoku which attracts thousands of spectators and dancers alike to come here in every mid August.

This festival will start from 12 to 15 August each year and the main event will start in the evening between 6pm to 8pm.

Since It is a slow moving and yet rhythmic dance. You can also join in the fun during the festival.

You can travel to Takamatsu from Osaka or Fukuoka but you will need to take the shinkansen to Okayama and change to a rapid train to reach Takamatsu.

The journey are fully covered by selected JR west pass and JR nationwide pass.
If you are exploring other parts of Shikoku after the festival, you can also consider the JR shikoku pass as well.

Are you ready to join the hottest summer festival in Tohoku? The Aomori Nebuta festival is going to start in a few more days.

This summer festival held annually from 02 Aug to 07 Aug. More than 3 millions people are gather for this event. It is 1 of the biggest event in Japan.

If you unable to visit this festival, you still can visit the Nebuta museum wa rasse that showcase the festival and the lanterns.

You may think where to go next after the festival. You can add Oirase Gorge or checking out the night view from Mt Kamafuse Observation deck as part of your itinerary.

Oirase gorge is a must view when you travel to Aomori which is like a page out from a fantasy novel.

Check out the swallowtail butterfly of light from Mt Kamafuse Observation deck. This observation deck is located in Mutsu city, Aomori prefecture.

A well hidden spot waiting for you to visit. There is a flower village located in Hiroshima prefecture. It is well known to locals but not for international tourist.

This place is call Sera Kogen town. In this town, there are 4 flower farms that open to the public to visit. These farms only open during selected periods in each seasons.

The next opening period will be on 26 July to 24 August 2025. This period will be their sunflower festival.

To reach here, driving or taking a taxi is required. As there are no direct bus to these farms from the nearby train station.

However, there is a tour bus which depart from Hiroshima to these flower farms on weekends and public holidays during their opening period.

You may be wondering where is Hyogo prefecture? But you definitely know about these cities or towns, Kobe, Himeji, Kinosaki, Arima. These cities and towns are situated in Hyogo prefecture. For today's topic, we will focus on the golf courses located here.

The oldest golf course in Japan is located in Hyogo prefecture. The Hirono golf course opened in 1932 and it was designed by legendary Charles Alison. There are more than 160 golf courses in this prefecture which you can visit different courses during your trip. Most of the golf courses are situated within 1 hour radius from Kobe.

You can travel to Kobe from Kansai International Airport or Kobe domestic airport by flight. You can take the shinkansen to Shin-Kobe from Tokyo or Fukuoka.

Lavender field will be in full bloom soon.

Not sure where to go in Japan during summer. How about getting closer to nature and reconnect with it?

There is a place called Togakushi which means "Hidden door" due to the Japanese mythology. This village is located in Nagano prefecture which can reach by the bus (no. 70 or 73) from the Nagano station which will take about an hour.

You can do a hike will start from the lower shrine to the middle shrine before reaching the upper shrine. The distance between each shrine is about 2 hours which is surrounded by nature such as the cedar trees. Some of the trees are about 900 years old.

If you are more adventurous after reaching the upper shrine, there is another path which will lead you to the lake Kagami (mirror lake). You can enjoy a scenery that reward you for this extra effort.

If you are looking to experience something different this June. How about visiting the Hosh*toge Rice Terraces in Tokamachi, Niigata?

You may be able to experience the reflecting water pools in the rice terraces. You can only experience it during in Spring when the snow melts until June and in Autumn from mid October till the first snowfall.

Their appearance changes in each season which provide you a reason to come back here to capture the scenery that it has to offer.

To reach here, you will need to take a taxi or rental car from the nearest train station, Matsudai station. You can use your JR pass or JR East pass to reach here as well.
