So Chic French Guide - Shopping & Dining in Singapore - is an initiative of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. The first of its kind here, this new free guide aims to introduce both prestigious and lesser-known French retail brands as well as French dining establishments and gourmet retailers. It provides practical information for shoppers and highlights the distinctive French fabric of

these brands’ history and DNA. The page is dedicated to sharing the latest updates and promotions from all these brands. The guide is available in the participating boutiques, at the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and from early 2014 at the Singapore Visitors Centre and online at www.sochic.sg.

MEET THE CHEFS BEHIND THE UPCOMING FCCS GALA DINNER


From Brittany to Bangkok to a Paris address that doesn’t play by the rules. Trained at then at the two Michelin-starred , he returned to France for Top Chef season 12 before opening in Paris in 2022 alongside his wife and fellow chef Cristina. His cuisine is defined by heat, acidity, and a joyful refusal to be pinned down.


Loïc Portalier trained at Epicure at and before joining Julien Royer’s () world and taking the helm of one Michelin-starred .hkg in Hong Kong in 2024 as Executive Chef. His cuisine, rooted in French tradition but shaped by years of living and cooking in Asia, brings the rigour of classical France, with the warmth of someone who has truly made Asia home.


Raised in a family of French foresters for six generations, Matthias Marc trained at and before opening his Michelin-starred restaurant in 2018. Rooted in the forests of the Jura, his cuisine is raw, seasonal and guided by the land, and this Gala appearance comes just ahead of the opening of , his new venture in his native Franche-Comté.
