🚨 BREAKING NEWS... The planet has reached its first catastrophic tipping point.

The earth has reached its first catastrophic tipping point linked to greenhouse gas emissions, with warm water coral reefs now facing a long-term decline and risking the livelihoods of hundreds of millions of people, according to a new report led by University of Exeter’s Global Systems Institute.

The report from scientists and conservationists warns the world is also “on the brink” of reaching other tipping points, including the dieback of the Amazon, the collapse of major ocean currents and the loss of ice sheets.

However, it is argued by other coral experts that there is some evidence that corals could adapt with some reefs remaining viable even at 2°C of global heating.

Our survival depends on nature, but nature is under immense threat.
The investment is needed to protect at least 30% of the world's land and ocean that would help the global economy and also necessary to stave off the worst effects of climate change and biodiversity loss - would amount to just 0.16% of global GDP.
Because biodiversity is stability.
