Gaia Love Crew Showcases Exceptional Safety Response During Routine Maintenance*

Early this morning, the crew of Gaia Love carried out a scheduled fuel transfer to top up the tender boat’s outboard motors. In strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the operation was conducted on the vessel’s lower boat deck, an open well-ventilated area to minimize fire risk.
During the process, a small flash fire occurred and was swiftly extinguished by the highly trained crew. Thanks to frequent fire drills and emergency simulations, the team responded immediately and effectively, ensuring zero injuries and minimal damage to the vessel, mostly cosmetic.
Importantly, there were no guests on board, and the vessel was undergoing maintenance at the time of the incident. The all-steel construction of Gaia Love, combined with fire-retardant materials and rigorous safety protocols, underscores our unwavering commitment to safety and preparedness.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who expressed support, concern, or offered assistance. This incident highlights the effectiveness of our training and reinforces our dedication to operational excellence and safety at sea. And also, no trips will be affected.
