Sometimes it’s the simplest moments that stay with you.

A message from one of our guests after a day on the trail:

“We have had such an incredible day today. It was everything & more!

To come out of the forest & hear the cow bells was one of the highlights for me. I just loved wandering through the meadows as well.

The rain didn’t bother us at all, it actually made it even more beautiful.”

Not every great walk needs a summit. 🥾

At Lake Bohinj, the path stays close to the water, moving between quiet woodland, open views and small places where stopping feels more important than continuing.

You can walk the entire lakeshore circuit – or simply choose a peaceful section and forget about kilometres for a while. The reward is not a conquered peak, but time spent in one of Slovenia’s most beautiful Alpine landscapes.

This photograph was taken by our own Sašo Skalič and captures exactly what we love about Bohinj: space, silence and no reason to hurry.
