SKI-TOURING WEEKEND IN BOVEC! ❄️❄️❄️

We will take advantage of great snow conditions, and we will organise a AVALANCHE SAFETY COURSE and a SKI-TOURING TRIP next weekend. 😊🎿

Izkoristili bomo ugodne snežne pogoje in prihodnji vikend izpeljali tako LAVINSKO DELAVNICO, kot TURNO SMUČARSKI IZLET, ki ga bomo seveda prilagodili razmeram.

Delavnice TURNEGA SMUČANJA ZA ZAČETNIKE v Bovcu!

Cilj bomo prilagodili razmeram in znanju tečajnikov, prioriteta ture pa je predvsem:

- Piljenje pravilne tehnike vzpenjanja in izvajanje obratov
- Izbira prave in varne linije za vzpenjanje in spust
- Uporaba in namestitev opreme, ki jo uporabljamo pri vzpenjanju
- Ob spustu pa se bomo posvetili tudi tehniki smučanja izven smučišč

Zagotovo se bomo imeli lepo. Vabljeni! 😉

BACKCOUNTRY SKIING WORKSHOP - BOFF 2017

Everyone who wants to renew their backcountry skiing skills is welcome to join our one-day "Freeride" workshop at Kanin :)

- Analysis of snow layers
- How to use avalanche transcievers, shovels and probes and avalanche backpacks
- Basics of backcountry skiing
- Climbing and descending on a suitable course
- Protocol for skiing in an avalanche-prone terrain

DELAVNICA SMUČANJA IZVEN UREJENIH SMUČIŠČ - BOFF 2017

Vsi, ki bi si pred smučarsko sezono želeli še enkrat obnoviti znanje smučanja izven urejenih smučišč, ste vabljeni na eno-dnevno ''Freeride'' delavnico na Kaninu!

- Prerez in test snežne odeje
- Uporaba lavinske žolne, lopate ter sonde in lavinskega nahrbtnika
- Osnove smučanja izven urejenih smučišč
- Izbira primernega terena za vzpon in spust
- Protokoli pri smučanju v plazovitem terenu

The winter has not been generous with snow, but we finally got fresh powder during the night. In the morning we put our snowshoes on and headed for Mangart. We hope to get more days like today before spring!

PS: don't walk on skiers' tracks!

Bovec Outdoor Film Festival has become one of, if not the most expected winter events in Bovec. Again, the town will be flooded with colorful beanies, hiking shoes, bumper stickers and incredible stories.

The road across Vršič Pass (1611 metres a.s.l.) has usually been closed in winter time, which made life for the people of Trenta valley even harder. The municipialities of Bovec and Kranjska gora, which lie on either side of the pass, have now come to an agreement to keep the road open also in winter, conditions permitting.
