There are gravel adventures. And then there are journeys that take you somewhere almost no cycling tour can reach.

We’re working on something very special for 2027?
11 days. Two Countries. One extraordinary ride!

We ride deep into the wilds of Zimbabwe and Zambia, following the Zambezi through remote gravel tracks, villages and extraordinary landscapes, crossing
Lake Kariba by private houseboat, and riding into a wilderness where elephants, hippos and other wildlife are very much part of the story.

This is not simply a gravel tour. It is an adventure through a part of Africa that few people ever experience, let alone by bike.

Our Morocco guests came for the riding.
They left with something far greater.

There’s something about Morocco that stays with you long after the dust settles.

Maybe it’s the feeling of riding gravel through landscapes that seem almost otherworldly. The Atlas Mountains rising above you. Ancient kasbahs appearing from nowhere. The red earth, the silence of the desert, the exhilaration of a great day on the bike.

But then there are the moments off the bike.

Sharing mint tea with locals. Wandering through the souks of Marrakech. Sitting down to an extraordinary Moroccan meal. Watching the sun disappear over the Sahara. Laughing around the table with new friends. Falling asleep beneath a sky full of stars.

WHO IS OUR JAPAN CYCLING TOUR FOR?

Our Shogun Ride from Nasu to Nikko in May/June 2027, is a fully supported journey through the cultural heart of old-world Japan, where every turn of the pedals traces the path of Japan’s legendary Shoguns.

We ride lush countryside roads, forest passes and sacred mountain climbs — balanced by serene descents and soul-filling scenery.

This is more than a ride; it’s a passage through centuries of history, landscapes and beauty, curated entirely the Après Vélo way.

This tour is for people who are passionate about cycling, adventure and who are excited to explore Japan’s landscapes, its people, its history and its food.

If you are seeking an incredible cycling experience through cedar forests walked by Samurai, matcha in a centuries-old garden, kaiseki dinners, sake tastings and a hot-spring soak waiting at the end of every ride — we can’t wait to welcome you to Japan.

The Magic of Morocco. 🇲🇦

September 2027

There’s something about Morocco that stays with you long after the dust settles.
It’s raw, It’s real, and And it’s gravel riding on another level!
From the spectacular Atlas Mountains and the winding roads of Tizi ‘n Tichka, through ancient Berber villages, the red-rock landscapes of the Dades Gorges and the vast, other-worldly desert around the Erg Chebbi dunes.

But honestly, the riding is only half the story.

There’s Marrakech and its intoxicating souks. Ancient kasbahs and palm-filled oases. Mint tea with local Berber families. Sunset camel rides across the golden Sahara. Sleeping under a blanket of stars. Incredible food, beautiful riads and those wonderfully unexpected moments that seem to happen when you simply slow down and take it all in.

That’s what I love about our Morocco Gravel Adventure. It’s as much an adventure off the bike as it is on it.

I’m still slightly surprised that Slovenia isn’t on every cyclist’s bucket list. 🇸🇮🚴‍♂️

After riding through Slovenia, I’ve become convinced it’s one of Europe’s great undiscovered cycling destinations.

And perhaps that’s what I love most about it.

The Julian Alps.
The crystal-clear waters of Lake Bled.
Vineyard-covered hills and medieval villages.
Quiet roads leading towards the Adriatic.
Incredible food, w**e and genuinely warm hospitality.

And somehow, it still feels refreshingly uncrowded.

This is cycling through a country that hasn’t lost its sense of authenticity — where every day brings a completely different landscape and you often feel like you’ve discovered somewhere for yourself.

Our Slovenia Cycling Tour, June 2027, brings all of this together over eight unforgettable days.
